William Fancher (Son of William)

William Fancher was born in Branford, Connecticut, October 20, 1728 and lived as late as April 28, 1808 when he conveyed land (Broome County, Volume 2, page 108). He married in Northbury (now Plymouth), Connecticut, April 5, 1755 to Elizabeth Luddenton, who died between July 28, 1796 and April 28, 1808, daughter of William Luddenton and Mary Knowles. Children, born in Northbury:

1. Rufus, August 29, 1757; died in Winfield, New York, November 29, 1831;married in Northbury, December 31, 1781 to Mariam Barns, born about 1752 and died probably in Winfield, but still alive in the 1830 census. Family members feel that they had no children.

2. Deborah, born March 15, 1759; married April 6, 1779 to Able Doolittle, son of Abel Doolittle and Thankful Moss.

3. Samuel, born January 9, 1762; married Mercy _____.
