Review:

From our show with Incantation, Coffin Texts, and Decay of Salvation on May 17, 2000:
The first band I saw was Bane from Los Angeles. Due to technical difficulties, it was doubtful the show would ever start, but all was fixed and forgotten once the music began. Up until now, I had never even heard of this band, but they delivered some of the most ferocious death metal I’ve heard in a while. Vocalist Rocky "Necrolover" Ruiz was all over the stage, driving the scary-ass lyrics like a knife through the gut! All musicians in the band played with mucho energy, including David Renteria on lead guitar, Reggie Galang on rhythm guitar, Anton on bass, and Art Cotero on drums. Songs that Bane performed included "Departed" and "Infestation." They are in the process of recording songs for a new demo, and should be signed once the underground labels get their paws on it. Until then, make sure you catch Bane live when they play again. Check out their webpage at http://welcome.to/bane for more information on Bane!
