A lot has happened within the past 2 years. We've managed to released our CD, lost our bass player and getting our act together. This website received a new look last week. We're currently arranging a 7 day mini-tour with Pessimist, Brickbath and Psypheria in late October starting in Los Angeles. More info to come. We're also preparing to play a variety of shows in the next few months. Expect merchandise such as shirts and stickers for this tour!
We're still looking for a new bass player who's open-minded, creative, and skillful in the Los Angeles area. Contact us if you're interested.

As we've managed to discussed things further about the album title for this release... we've conjoured up with the title "Vehemence: The Cathartic Remnants of Chaos, Virtue, and Time..."

Febuary 29, 2000

I sincerly apologize for not updating the webpage for the longest time. We've had problems with our old server (www.darkmetal.com) and haven't had the chance to update since then.
Rumours have been spreading around saying that we've broke up. I personally deny that rumour as we are going stronger than ever. Although we've had several occurance during the past half a year, we're finally getting our act together.
A few months ago, we booted out our vocalist Rocky "Necrolover" Ruiz due to band conflicts. Although we've managed to discussed and clarify things further, he's back in the band a month later.
A few weeks ago, our drummer Arturo Cotero decided to quit the band for unknown reasons. A few days later, he returned back to the band and apologized that he wished that he didn't leave in the first place. He left due to personal reasons and that he needed time off from the band.
Saturday, Feb. 26, 2000, Rocky got to record vocal tracks on 2 songs. He IS planned to record later in March and hopefully we'll finish everything by April / May. I know this has been a long process for us to have our release but we only want to offer our fans the best.
As of lately, we're still working on new songs, we have about 4 songs lined-up for the next release. Songs like "Sore, Torn, and Tainted Flesh" and "Broken Arms of Christianity" will be featured on this release.
Our longtime manager, Ed-DIE (aka Kingmagot) decided to quit managing us because he had other priorities to handle. We recently got a new manager, Laura, who runs several other bands on Brutal Sound Productions.

July 11, 1999

We came in second place from the Death Battle last week. Inhuman Visions came in first place while we came in second place by a point. As a consolation price, we are opening up for Marduk at the Showcase theatre on July 23.

April 8, 1999

We will not be playing any shows this month because we will finally record throughout this entire month starting next weekend.

March 29, 1999

Bane has pulled off a great show as a 4 piece at last night's International Extreme Music Festival at The Whiskey-A-Go-Go. This tour consisted of bands such as Vader, Gorguts, Cryptopsy, and Divine Empire. We were hailed to be one of the best bands of the night, even though the number of  people that showed up for our set was lesser than average (less than a hundred). We all had a great time opening up for this tour and we would like to thank Cryptopsy and the rest for the great show.
We're still currently trying out a bassist and hoping to work out with him soon, hopefully have him learn the songs by the time we start recording.
Speaking of which, we're going to record right after we play in San diego with Disgorge next weekend. We're definitely going to have this long-waited 8-song demo/CD out by the summer time. We are really sorry that we've promised to have something out earlier but we've been so busy playing shows that we have not had the time (nor the money) to work things out with recording.

February 17th 1999

A lot of things had happened since the last time I've logged Bane's current status. First of all, I'd like to apologize the major delay of our "Morbid Grounds" demo/cd release due to financial problems. We're going to record in 2 weeks and plan on finish everything within a month. This release will be entitled "Birth of Obliveon" instead of "Morbid Grounds" and we'll hopefully have it out before the summer for your ear-bleeding enjoyment. This release will be an 8-song demo once again.
Second of all, We have recently kicked out our bassist, Salvador Fernandez, due to personal reasons. We're currently looking for Bassist's in the L.A. who would want to try out for Bane. We're looking for a very serious and very dedicated bassist whose influences ranges from Cryptopsy, Cannibal Corpse, Kataklysm, Marduk, Dissection, Emperor, and Suffocation. Anyone interested, contact us immediately!
And lastly, we've been playing a lot of shows within the past few months. We have started the new year by playing with two of the sickest bands from California, Deeds of Flesh and the return of Disgorge at The Ventura Concert Theatre! Within the past 2 months, we have played at the Cobalt Cafe twice in Canoga Park with Purgatoria, Infest and Corrupt, Incinerator, and others. We've opened up for Incantation, Angelcorpse, and Krisiun at the end of Jan. and the response was great!
A lot of things will happen this year. Expect merchandises such as shirts, short and longsleeves, stickers, live videos, and as well as our demo/cd release from us soon. We will be playing a lot of shows in the S. California area so come check us out whenever we're by your area!

October 21st 1998

Bane is planning to re-record the demo/CD in the next few weeks. Our new upcoming demo/CD will be a 10 song CD instead of an 8 song demo/CD. Merchandises such as shirts and stickers are in the works right now and we'll hopefully have them in the next few months.

September 7th 1998

Bane is booked to play the Death Across America Tour '98 at The Showcase Theatre in Corona on September 25th 1998 with headlining bands Gorguts, Oppressor, Cryptopsy, and Nile. Prepare for the most brutal tour to ever come by the Southern California area!

August 17th 1998

Bane re-recorded the guitar tracks for the upcoming demo/CD on August 16th 1998. Plans of re-recording two songs that are going to be featured on this release are in the works and will look forward to go to the studios in the next month. After re-recording, the mixing and mastering stages will follow. Hopefully we'll have our demo/CD out by the end of the year.

August 7th 1998

Bane opened for Morbid Angel, Incantation, and Nile at The Whiskey A GoGo 2 weeks ago. It was the best show we've played to date. We had a good crowd response even though we were the first band to play.

June 29th 1998

Bane is opening for Morbid Angel, Incantation, and Vader at The Whiskey A GoGo on July 26th, 1998 along with major local acts Engrave and Infamy! Prepare for the most blasphemous and extreme show of the year!

June 16 1998

Bane impressed the crowd for the Mortician / Fleshgrind show 2 days ago and we were hailed to be the best and most brutal local act to play on that night. Bands that opened with us were Poets of the Plague, Epicidium, and Cangrena.

June 2nd 1998

Bane is opening for Mortician and Fleshgrind at The Whiskey A GoGo on June 14th. Prepare for the onslaught and carnage!

June 1st 1998

Bane finally made their first club debut on May 30, 1998 for a "Slayer aftershow / Metalfest" at the infamous Whiskey A GoGo in West Hollywood, CA. Despite the fact that we played 4 songs for the short set, we managed to put a great show. We recorded our show along with pictures of the show, which are now online.
