Davidson Co. NC in 1840 and in Forsyth Co. in 1850. He was
married to Sally ? DICKSON ? in 1834. Two of his children moved
to Collin Co. TX by 1875--Joseph F. CRAVER b. 6-1852 NC who
married Mary J. REICH in 1868 and
Henry Harrison CRAVER b. 6-1839 NC. Any help will be appreciated.

John B. HAMPTON, son of Samuel HAMPTON, son of James HAMPTON [born 1723].
James was a fifth generation desc. of William Hampton who came to
Jamestown in 1620. James settled as an adult in Stokes Co. Grandson John
B. Hampton settled in Stokes, later Forsyth Co., and Thornton moved to
Davidson Co. The brothers of John B. migrated to Lincoln Co., TN. and
Alabama.

Seeking information (pedigree, birth, death dates) on Kenner
Alice SHARPE , also listed as Alice KINNER in some records (1861?-1946?),
wife of Thomas Aaron PEARSON (1861-1927). Couple resided in Boomer, NC
(Wilkes County) as of 1900 census. Census indicates that her parents
were from NC. After Thomas' death, Alice moved to Winston-Salem (Forsyth
County) and lived with daughter Rosa Edith Pearson and her husband
William Howard STEWART, of Rockingham County until her death
(approximately 1946). No death certificate exists, but some family
members believe her to be buried in Woodlawn Cemetary in Winston-Salem.
No record exists at cemetary to confirm.

Looking for information about my ggranfather SAMUEL M. COOKE. He died in
Winston-Salem, Forsyth Co. May 27, 1936.
His obituary lists his 3 sons were living in Winston-Salem at the time:
E.L. COOKE (Elbert), M.M. COOKE (Marion), and C.C. COOKE (Charles-my
grandfather). His other son S.W. COOKE (Warren), was living in High
Point, Guilford Co, NC at the time. His 2 daughters were Ruth ETHRIDGE,
of Washington D.C. and Ethel KENNERLY of Arlington, VA. Samuel COOKE's
brother was listed, CALVIN A. COOKE, living in Clover, SC. Samuel's

Any information on Absolom BINKLEY? I believe he was from Stokes Co., NC.
He was traveling to the Cumberland Country and died enroute and was
buried along the trail. His wife and children continued on with the
others. I don't know his wife's name. He had four children: James Monroe
BINKLEY b:9-2-1826 and died June 6, 1905; John Francis BINKLEY b: about
1832 and died 1877-1880. There were four daughters: Jessie; Mary (who
married a MURPHY); Nancy (who married a BENTON); another daughter I don't know her name and she married a man named either COBB or CAROTHERS. Any

McBRIDE, who was a resident of Stokes county in the 1830s and then became
a resident of the new Forsyth county. I do not know his wife's name. I
am also looking for a listing in the 1850 census for Alexander HAUSER and
his wife, Henrietta McBride Hauser. Thanks for any help you can give.
