I am looking for information on Thomas SLATER who was married to Mary BOYER. Thomas Slater and Mary Boyer last appear in the 1860 census for Forsyth County. Thomas Slater fought in the Civil War and was discharged in Charlotte, NC. Mary Boyer was first married to William Ketner. Although I can trace all of their descendants, I have no information on the ancestors of Thomas Slater and Mary Boyer. I believe that their children were named Elisha, Charles, Henry, Alexander. If you have any information, please contact me. Thanks. Nancy Slater nellanddudley@chesapeake.net
My father, Byron Ashley MARSHALL (Sr.) was born ca 1907 along with a twin brother in the country. He later graduated from the University at Chapel Hill, and went to work in High Point for S.H. Kress. He was transferred to NYC (the Bronx) where my mother, Jacksie L. BROOKSof Randolph County and then High Point, visited him and they were married in 1935. I was born in 1940 after they were transferred back south by Kress to Rocky Mount, NC. Lived subsequently in Sumter, SC during the War, then Macon, GA, Youngstown, Ohio, and New York City again. In 1960 he went with TGY to Jackson, MS and then Grants in 1963 to Alexandria, LA. He and my mother had a Ben Franklin store in Pineville, LA subsequently. He died in 1975. His sister is Lucille (Marshall) RICE of High Point.
Any information about the family genealogy if this is the correct Marshall, or any other clues, welcomed.

Three sons of Philip Jacob ROTHROCK (1713-1803) migrated to present day Forsyth and Davidson County, North Carolina. They were twins: Peter (1746-1829) ROTHROCK and Philip (1746-1825) ROTHROCK and younger brother Valentine (1751-1812). Peter and his wife are buried at Friedberg Moravian Church Cemetery in Davidson Co., NC. They had ten children that married into ZIEGLER, THOMAS, RUDISILL, PEELER, NIFONG, WHITLOW, REICH, TESCH (TESH), LOCKENOUR, ESSIG (ESSEX), GRETER (CRATER), FRYE (FRY), CLODFELTER, RIPPLE, KNAUSS, SPACH, ROMINGER, FISHEL, DeLAPP, and MENDENHALL families in Davidson and Forsyth Counties. Philip and his wife are also buried at Friedberg Moravian Church and they had ten children. These children married into the following families (that are different from Peter's children): FUHRMAN, SEITZ (SIDES), GREEN, MOCK, BERRIER, WEITMANN (WEIDMAN), CHITTY, PERRYMAN, ZIMMERMAN, STOLTZ, WIBEL (WEBEL), HENSDALE, ADKINS, WELCH, SCHOTT (SHUTT), HOEHNS (HAINES), ATWOOD, SICELOFF, BERRIER, BOECKEL (PICKEL), and HUFFMAN. Valentine married Elizabeth VOLZ (FOLTZ) (1757-1823) in Friedberg and had four children that married into: HEGE, and WAISNER (WEESNER) families. I believe any ROTHROCK individuals from Norther Carolina tie into these three families. Please contact me if you have any ROTHROCK family members in your North Carolina families. Dan Stevenson
