YULETIDE STRIDE RACE INFORMATION

About The Race - December 3 @ Noon - Boston Common
The Yuletide Stride is a five mile road race to benefit people with HIV and AIDS.  Not only is the Stride an exciting road race, it is a community event that extends the holiday spirit to a group who have real need, who can truly benefit from your giving.  Your pledges and donations are essential if we are to reach our goals.  Thank You!

Road Race Application and Pledge Sheet
To get a race application, which includes a pledge sheet, please do one of the following:

Request an application by sending us a self-addressed, stamped envelope.  Please do not mail a request for the road race application after November 20th.  Instead, see the times for Late Registration in the section below.  All correspondence should be sent to:

Complete an application during Late Registration (see section below) on the day before the race or on the day of the event.  Notice:  Sizes for the Yuletide Stride T-Shirts cannot be guaranteed for those entries post-marked after November 10th.

Number Pick-up and Late Registration

Saturday, December 2 (1-4pm) Main Lobby of 209 Columbus Avenue (Berkeley Street)
Sunday, December 3 (9:30 - 11:30am) at starting line on Charles Street

Road Race Entry Fee:
When completing the Yuletide Stride road race application, each runner must decide which entry fee to pay:

$20 entry fee includes a short-sleeve race T-shirt ($25 after 11/30/00)
$12 entry fee does not include the T-shirt ($15 after 11/30/00)

The Yuletide Stride benefits AIDS Action Committee of Massachusetts.

A Pledge Event
Obtaining pledges is optional, but all runners are encouraged to participate.  Every contribution, large or small, helps AIDS Action Committee of Massachusetts supply holiday gift baskets to people living with HIV and AIDS. Please note that the Frontrunners Boston Charitable Foundation, Inc. is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization, so donations are tax deductable and may be matched by your employer. If your organization will match your donation, please submit the necessary form(s) with your pledge sheet. The pledge sheet should list each donation, and money should be collected in advance of the race. All contributions should be brought to race registration/number pick-up on Saturday, December 2 or on December 3 (Race Day). THANK YOU FOR YOUR PARTICIPATION!

Pledge Awards:
Each runner will receive a raffle ticket for each $50 in pledge money turned in.   Runners who turn in $100 to $249 in pledge money at number pick-up/registration will receive a long sleeve Yuletide Stride T-shirt.  Runners turning in $250 or more in pledge money at number pick-up/registration will receive a Yuletide Stride Sweatshirt and have race entry waived.  The post-race raffle drawing for fabulous prizes will follow the presentation of race awards.  Runners need not be present to win.

Costume Contest:
A costume contest will be held after the road race.  We encourage a winter or holiday theme.  Entrants must register for the road race in order to be considered for the contest.  Awards will be given to the three best costumes as determined by a panel of judges.

Road Race Course
This urban and scenic 5-mile road race course starts and finishes on Charles Street between the Boston Common and the Public Garden in Boston. 

Road Race Awards
Awards will be given to the top three male and female finishers in the Road Race for each of the following age categories:

29 and under
30 to 39
40 to 49
50 to 59
60 and over
