A skilled teacher and coach, Mardeene enjoys nurturing creativity at all levels, from beginnings throughout the writing, marketing, and publishing processes. She especially enjoys exploring how writing helps us live and living helps us write!

Her first book, Hidden Faces of the Soul, was nominated for the 2001 Georgia Author of the Year Awards by Georgia Writers. She is in progress on her second book as well as marketing a photostory book, a TV series and several screenplays, one of which was a finalist in the 1999 Best in the West Screenplay Competition and was optioned by a producer. She has been serving on the Board of Directors of Women in Film/Atlanta for three years.

As the former executive director of Writers Connection -- Silicon Valley's service business and job shop for companies and writers-- she developed numerous seminar programs and conferences and brought significant people together in exciting ways. She has enjoyed successfully engaging with powerful agents, producers, and publishers in Hollywood, San Francisco and New York.

The first accessible mainstream book on Kabbalah, written in collaboration with Dr. Sheldon Z. Kramer, Ph.D., a licensed clinical psychologist in San Diego who teaches the blending of ancient with modern in relationship psychology and mind/body medicine.
