Hudson - Cemetery Transcribed:
Hudson became an official town in 1866.  Prior to that it was known as Feltonville and was part of the city of Marlborough.  The cemetery transcribed and photographed on this CD is the Main Cemetery.  Not only will I have photographed all of the headstones in this cemetery, but I have also been going through all of the interment records which the Town still has.  This includes additional  personal information such as parents and spouses names not found on headstones added to the individual index.

Earliest headstone noted was 1814.

  • Headstones transcribed      947
  • Photos taken                     1371
  • Unique surnames                 556
  • Individual identified            2310

There appears to be a big gap in the intement records start 1940 – 1980 so those identified are only via what was found on the headstones.

 Surnames transcribed

An attempt was made to photograph all headstones. - Transcriptions were limited to names and dates seen off of the photographs and follow-up trips to help decipher some of the hard to read headstones. Interment records were used to validate some of the harder to read headstones.
