----------child: Bissett, Mary Louisa (b1848 - )Census - [date: 1880] [place: Boston, Suffolk, Massachusetts]
This census entry has some problems. The entry shows a John Bissett, age 68; his wife Jane, age 54; and daughter Emma, age 16; all born in Nova Scotia. John and Jane's ages are wrong by at least five years, in opposite directions. This may be due at least partially to an error in the transcription from the original - but an error of this magnitude cannot be ruled out in a census record. More disturbing is that Emma's age is hard to reconcile to that of the Emma born in 1849. Perhaps it is a second daughter named Emma, born after the death of a prior Emma.
Strongly upporting the identification, however, is the fact that his children, Jennie and (Freeman) Joseph, have been identified in the same census as living in Boston in the next household.

The bride is identified as "Catherine" and her age is given as 30, the same as the groom's. The parents of both the bride and groom are the same as in the 1865 marriage. This is likely a "re-marriage" in the Catholic Church after conversion to Catholicism.
