Secret
Who is Secret?
Many people would like to know. Secret, or Suzie among her friends, is a character from the comic book series, Young Justice. At first, Secret was discovered by a new team comprised of Superboy, Robin and Impulse. Secret had escaped from an organization called the DEO. When she discovered other orphans like herself, she became expendable. Once Secret told Young Justice the truth about her past, the boys set her free, faked her death with a tube full of smoke. Secret spent a few months exploring the world on her own, and eventually ended up back with Young Justice as a superhero.
Her powers stem from the fact that she gaseous. Thus she can squeeze into anything that isn't airtight. Her existence as a gas is a complete mystery. There are hints that she is a dangerous force. Several government agencies has warned Young Justice that Secret is a danger to herself and the entire world. They certainly don't consider her a girl or human. She has scattered memories, included a DEO Lab assistant who tried to kiss but he was taken away in an ambulance as a result. Once, Secret entered a comatose body, in an attempt to help the soul return to the body. This implies that Secret may be a ghost, with connections to the underworld. She can certainly possess a human being. Secret has a fear of water and electricity. This fear was probably caused by her apparent death, when her brother sacrificed her by electrocuting her as she was bathing.
Recently, Secret has had a growing relationship with Robin, the trainee of the infamous Batman. Whether this relationship will amount to anything has yet to be seen.
What makes her special?
Well, I don't know. She doesn't have glasses, and she's a gas. Yet, I think her beauty lies in her ability to think and in her mysteriousness. Secret has a fractured memory, and a fear of water and electricity. She desperately wants to have a normal life, which she'll never have. I find that vulnerability attractive. She doesn't know very much about the world, but she has a skill of directing her Young Justice friends. When Young Justice is out to fight evil, Secret is here, warning them of danger, giving orders and helping as often as she can. Ultimately, I find her cute because she likes Robin. With all her trouble, I find that this girl likes the smart boy over the brawny Superboy or the ditzy Impulse.
