Still Cold Here and Still Hot In Iraq

Precious Friends,

Please excuse my absence in recent months. Grandmothers have lots of duties to take care of and it is particularly tedious to be a grandmother from "the beyond" such as I.

But I am prompted to drop my busy schedule, for the moment though, and write to you about your pugnacious president once again. The man is so notably uncooperative. He says he will veto

any bill that Congress presents him that will curtail his war in Iraq. This is sad news. (Although it is certainly not unexpected considering your president's bent for being uncooperative. "My way or the highway" is his motto, alas!)

Your Grandma Minutia has the answer to this sad state of affairs. If your Congress has the right to cut off funds for Bush's war in Iraq and Bush still wants to pursue it, or "get the job done" as he would say, then I must suggest that President Bush fund his war out of his own pocket. Why not? He's extremely wealthy and his extended family is even more wealthy and why not again since they make most of their money from the manufacture of munitions. They have enough money to fund their own war!

They are, in a way, already funding their own war by supporting the Blackwater supplemental army that operates out of the State of North Carolina. The Blackwater fighters fight in Iraq and are paid much, much more than your normal US troops. Call on your president to fund his wars himself. He can afford it. He wants to "get the job done." He wants "victory." He wants to make the Middle East over to suit himself, and perhaps, if Bush were funding all of the fighting himself, it would stop much sooner. Don't you think?

Write to your congressmen and women. Tell them to stop funding the war in Iraq and "let George do it."

Lots of love to you my dear ones,

Your Grandma Minutia
