Hello my dearest dears, and Happy Birthday to those of you born on this day, April 28th. You know who you are. Long and happily may you live, and bring about change in this world.
I just read the funniest article in the New York Times today. It was titled "Dick Cheney for President." Of course it caused a big stir up here in heaven and astonishment. Worried angels were asking, "Oh dear, do you supposed that it would be possible, considering all that Cheney has done in the Bush administration?" After all, wasn't he the brains of the outfit? Were there any brains in the outfit? Evidentially Cheney was the intellectual of the two top men, but we all doubt |

that he had any good ideas. (He believes in torture you know.) Anyway, Bush wasn't inclined to listen to anyone. I remember Bush said he didn't even listen to his earthly father. Instead, he said, he listened to his heavenly Father. Well that doesn't fly up here in heaven at all. We happen to know that although Bush might have tried to make contact with his heavenly Father, he must have become tongue-tied while communicating because the heavenly Father couldn't possibly understand him.
Remember when Bush said that he thought "God wanted him to be president?" That was all a tragic misunderstanding. Actually, what God said was: He wanted him to be reverent, not president . But that is all water under the bridge now, or under the clouds if you're up here as we are. What I am saying is we angels and ghosts (who are yearning to become full-fledged angels), all we are saying is "Give peace a chance" and please don't even consider the blood thirsty and cheeky Cheney for president. He would be Bush enhanced. You would have a government of brute force and with no soul at all. Only teenage boys would be happy with a government like that! I shouldn't say that. Some young boys read, go to school, go the law school, become editors of law reviews, teach at university as law professors, become great orators and eventually lead their countrymen with skill, great consideration and integrity, bringing humanity forward and re-establishing the US Constitution and its ideals. A leader with soul aplenty, that's what is needed, not "Cheney for President" for heaven's sake! Think men, think! Sorry for taking so much vacation time. Love to all, Your Grandma Minutia
