A gentle reminder: About the current “crisis” in Social Security - alarmingly, George W. Bush has found WMDs in the system! He wants to shift these dreadful stockpiles of WMDs into private accounts before it’s too late for his Wall Street buddies to cash in. Bush wants to change Social Security from the benefit it has always been to a reckless gamble. He baits the public with a pretend “crisis” in Social Security and then he switches to reward his Wall Street friends with the money he wants put into private accounts.

He uses sneaky slogan words. Remember when he was a “compassionate conservative?” Now it’s just “pitiless primitive.” Remember when he was a “uniter” but now a “divider.” (Nearly half of the country doesn’t trust him.) Remember when he was going to change “the tone” in Washington? Now he wants to change all of the social programs we own. Bush, notorious friend of the rich, pushed for, and got, tax cuts that have caused huge budget deficits that he thinks now entitle him to mess around with Social Security and Medicare, two wonderful social programs that he wants to slash and curb if he can. Don’t let him! This is your grandmother speaking to you and giving you good advice!
