Three Cheers For The UAGEFCFPC

Howard Dean, M.D.
Chairman
Democratic National Committee

Dear Dr. Dean,

We’re upset about the criticism you've been receiving over "outrageous remarks" so called. We think you were just telling the truth. The critics are calling you a "loose cannon." And they've got it all wrong. G. W. Bush is the loose cannon! In our view there are no words gritty enough to describe the Bush administration's lack of good leadership.

We’re concerned because the Republicans seem to have thought of everything: -
how to control elections with eighty per cent of the voting machines made for them by Republican friends, plus their intimidation of voters, plus disallowing qualified voters to vote;
how to start a preemptive war and consent to the use of torture for prisoners;
how to control our country fiscally with tax cuts for the rich and with reductions to beneficial social programs and help for veterans, while at the same time making the US a debtor nation by borrowing two billion dollars daily from foreign countries;
how to fool the people by constantly saying one thing and doing another;
how to control citizens with a Patriot Act and lessen workers' rights and individual rights;
how to use the name of Christianity for establishing an amalgamation of Church and State;
how to design to destroy Social Security and step on our most vulnerable citizens;
how to exploit and ruin our environment by weakening EPA rules;
how to supply vast amounts of aid to big corporations;
how to drop out of the Nonproliferation Treaty by developing a new nuclear "bunker busting" bomb. And
how to generally throw their Republican weight around and become the bullies of the world, choosing to send a John Bolton to the UN to "reform" it.

Most of all we’re outraged that since last year there have been facts published showing that Bush and his friends and family are huge war profiteers. This is beyond shocking to us. And even more shocking, there has been no notice or reaction to these disgusting facts in the media. We should have included
how to "control the media" in our last paragraph.

This was published by the Washington Spectator last year:

What do all of these names have in common? George W. Bush, Ken Lay, Enron, Dick Cheney, Hallibuton, Neil M. Bush, New Bridge Strategies, Houston-based Crest Investment Corporation, Ignite!-Learning, Grace Semiconductor, St. Louis-based Engineered Support Systems, William H. T. (Uncle Bucky) Bush, Maryland-based Technical and Management Services, TAMSCO, George H. W. Bush (dad, recently retired from the Carlyle Group) and lastly little brother, Marvin Bush? They are all part of the most profiteering First Family in American history. Never before has a president started a war from which his own friends and relatives profited. Just this one fact is horrifying: the crooked and now bankrupt Enron Corporation has provided George W. Bush with huge amounts of money to finance his runs for Congress, governor and president, but that's just the tip of a colossal financial iceberg! We have a drastically fiscal and despotic club running this country.
(Facts from "The Washington Spectator" Volume 30, No. 3 of February 1, 2004, published by The Public Concern Foundation, Inc.; address The Washington Spectator, London Terrace Station, P.O. Box 20065, NY, NY 10011 - the title of the piece is "The Green Bushes" Subtitle "The Family's Profiteering Goes Unobserved").

We would very much appreciate a prompt answer to our letter. And thank you very much for your considerate attention to our urgent concerns.

Best regards,
