He gave a press conference! He gave a prime time press conference! What is going on?

He wanted us to know that everything is all right in Iraq. His policy is secure. He plans to go right ahead with this policy because he doesn't believe in polls. He hasn't found the weapons of mass destruction yet, in Iraq, but still he believes in them. (He is confident they are nowhere to be found in his oval office because he has checked there.)

Everything is just fine and "we're making progress in Iraq." When reporters asked if he had made any mistakes at all, he was absolutely baffled. He drew a blank. No, he couldn't think of a one!

So, all is well. All is so well!
