The troops in Iraq are disappointed. They thought they were going home. They had been promised that they were going home. They were excited and happy about going home. But instead they have been given an extension to their tour of duty. And now they're not going home as promised!

Vietnam was a dubious and questionable war too, but at least in Vietnam the tours of duty for our troops were shorter, and when our government made a promise about a tour's end, that promise was kept.

As this war in Iraq gets meaner and becomes more of a quagmire, it's bad for every single American, except for those who are making money from the war. And it's embarrassing and astonishing to find out exactly who those profiteers are!
