Not Talking the Talk, Just Walking The Walk

Every time the president gives a speech or a press conference, the British newspapers go wild with criticism and bold headlines such as "President's Brain Missing." Really! Those English people are fuddy-duddies. They don't realize that we Americans never depend on mere words! All the English people seem to do is sit around talking and drinking tea, while we are as busy as bees over here on this side of the Atlantic! We don't have the time to shilly-shally about with a lot of verbal stuff. Words only slow people down. We Americans are advanced and forward looking: we use BL or "Body Language" to do our talking.

Instead of words, we use "the straight shoulder," "the direct eye contact," "the jutting jaw," and like that. When our president wrinkles his eyebrows, for instance, we get it. We know what he is saying. When he leans forward on his podium, oh wow. Do we get it! He's leveling with us big time. When he puts out his hands and takes a certain stance, watch out, he means business! You have to be an American. We love our BL and our BS.
