We try to understand G. W. Bush, but when he speaks, he doesn’t know what he is saying (by any measure of reality). He likes to say “this is the greatest country in the world, the economy is “strong and getting stronger” etc., etc., and he makes me wonder if he is in the same world I’m experiencing. I wonder if he has taken off for Mars already!
He might just as well not speak at all than to happily report the news that everything is just fine and dandy because we are the greatest country with the greatest people and the greatest bla, bla, bla. I say he sounds like a blithering Martian!
And about the military service he did, considering how “fairy tale” his whole attitude is, maybe he did his duty, as he says he did, but the records show that he was very absent for one-year of his duty in The Texas Air National Guard where he flew an F-102 fighter-interceptor over Houston to guard us against the Southeast Asians who were the scary enemies years ago.
Considering how spacey he seems now, as president, maybe when he was flying his fighter-interceptor, he flew a bit too high. He seems to be in touch with the rare realities of outer space where no one else has gone. Maybe that accounts for the missing year. Think about it!
