Under the Bush administration we are now a third world country morally. We are completely disadvantaged ethically as never before in our history.

One hundred and fifty countries signed a 1997 treaty banning the production, use and sale of land mines. The US was the only member of NATO that did not sign this treaty, and shame on us! But worse, now the Bush administration has revealed a new land mine policy in which the US will continue to produce land mines, although more sophisticated land mines.

The rest of the world can object, but we don’t care. We are the super power, and we don’t need a permission slip to lead in any immoral way we may so desire. Just ask G. W. Bush.
