It is difficult for some of us to keep up with this administration's sudden shifts in direction. It was just a week or so ago when we heard the president say something about the fact that we would never run from any difficulty in Iraq but would "stay the course" etc. But, now, wow, the president is making moves to hand over control of Iraq to the Iraqi people and quickly, in an "accelerated" manner.

But wait a minute. What's up? We haven't found Saddam Hussein yet, or his weapons of mass destruction, or his friend Bin Laden or even any kind of road map to peace. What was the overall plan anyway? Why did we invade Iraq? Who instigated the idea? Where did it get us? When will we ever get out from under the heavy burden of debt it has caused us? Youth wants to know! And what about the intrusive Patriot Act here on the home front? Who thought that up? A day of reckoning approaches!
