The Senate has confirmed 168 of President Bush's judicial nominees.

Democrats have filibustered just 4 of Bush's nominees because they hold obnoxious extremist ultraconservative views, far outside the mainstream.

On the other hand, Republicans blocked 63 of President Clinton's nominees to the federal bench. And they also refused to give many of Clinton's nominees hearings at all. So much for the "fairness" of our Republicans friends!

The Republicans are anxious to pack the court with ultraconservative individuals who will reverse decades of progress on civil rights, worker's rights, reproductive rights and our much needed environmental protections. It appears that our Republicans friends long to take us back to a former time, a time they would seem to prefer, perhaps around the year 1803.
