After halting the peoples' vote counting that was taking place in Florida, the US Supreme Court, in a partisan vote between Bush and Al Gore, selected the former as our president. Most thinking people were completely shocked, bewildered and horrified.

If Bush is duly elected president by a majority vote of the American people next November, then he will be elected president for the first time. He will not have been reelected.
