The green stuff, the cold cash, the cabbage, the moola, the loot - the gold that really makes the world go around! I am perfectly aware of the fact that in polite society one does not mention money. Anyone brought up well knows that, but...
I don’t know why the pundits haven’t brought up the fact that there are special interests - all concerned with money and the making of it - overseas and specifically in the Mideast countries we’ve been “helping” lately.
I’m sorry but there is no way to be discreet about mentioning the following money deals:
We've heard that Halliburton has been overcharging, but that is about all we've heard. The following is more:
What do all of these names have in common: George W. Bush,
Ken Lay, Enron, Dick Cheney, Hallibuton, Neil M. Bush, New Bridge Strategies, Houston-based Crest Investment Corporation, Ignite!-Learning, Grace Semiconductor, St. Louis-based Engineered Support Systems, William H. T. (Uncle Bucky) Bush, Maryland-based Technical and Management Services, TAMSCO, George H. W. Bush (dad, recently retired from the Carlyle Group) and lastly little brother, Marvin Bush? They are all part of the most profiteering First Family in American history. Never before has a president started a war from which his own friends and relatives profited.
Just this one fact is horrifying: the crooked and now bankrupt Enron Corporation has provided George W. Bush with huge amounts of money to finance his runs for Congress, governor and president, but that's just the tip of a colossal financial iceberg! We have a drastically fiscal and despotic club running this country.
(Facts from "The Washington Spectator" Volume 30, No. 3 of February 1, 2004, published by The Public Concern Foundation, Inc.; address The Washington Spectator, London Terrace Station, P.O. Box 20065, NY, NY 10011) The Washington Spectator Title of article: The Green Bushes, The Family's Profiteering Goes Unobserved.
These corporations mentioned here are predominantly involved, somehow, with war. It is shocking that the Bush business family/friends corporate ties were so ready to participate in war, offering war supplies at a price. The secrecy of the Bush administration is understandable.
Maybe this kind of economy is part of the overall global trickle down theory in action. Maybe the US makes war and profits from it, enriching the rich war profiteers who then spend lots of money so that some money finally falls down onto the poor working stiff. But doesn’t that add up to the poor paying money to themselves because the poor workers must rebuild a depleted national treasury again so future wars can be supported with taxpayer dollars? I should give Mr. Greenspan a call.
I know I should know better. It’s extremely impolite to mention money this way, especially in such embarrassingly ugly and Gargantuan amounts! Sorry. Please excuse me. I desperately need a vacation. Thinking of the deficit exhausts me.
Grandma Minutia would have had to use her smelling salts right now!
