What is a kiss?
It is the seal on a promise,
A promissory note that asks for love.
It is a secret, with the mouth as its ear,
A pathway to know another's heart,
A portal to the soul.
Once there was a man who loved a woman, but he was afraid to approach her. For this man was disfigured, he had a large and unsightly nose. It dangled like a grotesque piece of flesh, it was a barrier against love.
One day the man was approached by a friend, who also loved this woman. The friend, like the man, was very shy and afraid to approach her. The friend asked the man, "Help me earn her love. Help me please."
And the man, even though he loved the woman as well as his friend, or perhaps because of it, agreed.
The man gave her gifts, spending all his money. The man worked like a demon for his friend, living through him. Lo and behold, the man succeeded! The woman fell in love with his friend.
It broke the man's heart.
The friend was more thatn he seemed. He was two people in one. One was good, the other evil.
