In 1994, Hearthstone purchased an aging sawmill and transformed it into a truly efficient, well-oiled machine in an effort to control quality, costs, and timber sizes.
- We can now custom cut timbers for any project!
- Timbers can be milled up to 40' long and in any dimension.
- Of course, only the heart of the timber is used for the log walls and timber frame members, and no part of the tree is wasted.
- Log veneer is cut from the sides of the tree; bark and wood remnants are chipped and recycled.
