Install the trip pedal in the crate as shown below: ![]() Step 8
Install doorframe to crate door flange - using (4) - ¼" x 2-1/2" hex or pan head bolts. Use one ¼" hex nut and two ¼" flat washers per bolt, as shown: ![]() Setting the trap
Follow the three steps on the diagram below. Mix your dogs regular food with something you know they really like - hot dogs, ground beef, Vienna sausage, etc. The trip mechanism should work easily.
Note - Covering the trip pedal with a blanket or towel is essential, as many dogs won't step on the trip pedal if they can see it. Covering the food bowl is not essential, but the more they route around trying to find food, the better your chance that they will trip the trap while in it. |
