In general, our Sheltie boys tend to be more even-tempered than the girls are. They are not as pushy or demanding. For example, rather than jumping in your lap they would tend to lie beside the chair or at your feet. Most breeders we talk to confirm our belief that in this breed, the boys generally make the better pets. It has only been recently that we feel we have quality to offer at stud. We are now proud to introduce Gabe, Logan, and Morgan as options deserving your attention and evaluation. » See our boys « ![]() The girls at Heart O' Gold Shetland Sheepdogs have complex personalities. They are bubbly, sweet, aggressive, demanding, pushy, obnoxious, energetic, silly, wiggly, jumpers. They can be adorable or exasperating, but they are certainly never boring. They each have their little trademarks - Callie moves furniture around when she gets excited, when Star wags her tail she wiggles from head to toe, Reba twirls and barks at ceiling fans, Colby bites at the wind during car rides, Miracle is our soloist and regularly leads the others in song, and so on. As producers go we have been pleased with both quality and quantity. Our girls breed consistently to type. Although we have only bred 8 litters in 11 years, the average litter size has been 6 puppies. We always breed for temperament and structure first, because these two things are required to live happily with any dog for life, whether it is a show dog, or a pet. » See our girls « Heart O' Gold Nugget
