We met the Hodges at local obedience classes while they were training Jack as a puppy. Again the Sheltie connection seems to bond people and Sheltie owners seem to be the nicest people. The Hodges live about 10 miles from our house so we see them regularly. They have been gracious enough to provide regular mid day exercise to our crew when Mary and I have long workdays. Although Jack is not of our breeding, he is a really neat dog. After getting to know our crew, Julia particularly liked Miracle. So, when we decided to do our Miracle litter, I guess it was only natural that they were interested in a puppy. Buckshot is probably the smallest Sheltie we have ever bred. His full adult size is about 12 inches at the shoulder and 12 pounds. We feel he is somewhat unusual for a Sheltie of this size in that bone and substance are still there. Buckshot is cute as a button and loves to pester Jack. The Hodges were looking for a smaller Sheltie. Well they certainly got that!
