Morgan is a 15-5/8" pure for sable dog. We took him to his first and only AKC match at 4-1/2 months old and he took a Group II. We took him to his first official AKC show at 8 months of age and he went WD, BW over an adult WB, owner handled. Thanks to Judge Arthur Sorkin for recognizing quality from the puppy classes. The next day at his second AKC show he went Reserve WD under Judge Joe Malloy. He does not appear to be white factored. We will verify this when he is old enough to prove.
After 10+ years of breeding our sable line we wanted to see where we were and set our line. Morgan is the result of our first inbred, in kennel, breeding. We are really pleased with the result. As you can see from the picture his head is outstanding - very clean, full muzzle, with sweet eye, good planes, natural ears, and very dark, defined mask. Although structure and coat are hard to evaluate in a puppy this age, these also look promising. Morgan was born on 1/31/99 (Superbowl Sunday).

General - At 2 years old Morgan still acts like a puppy. He is not bad, but he is mischievous. If there is something to get into, he finds it. He is very playful and sweet. He has a very outgoing natural show personality. The main problem we have with him at shows is that he likes to bark at big dogs - the bigger the better. This scares us a little and we are working to cure this. The first time we put a collar and lead on him he just went for a walk with us - no big deal! The first time a friend tried target training with him, at 13 weeks old, he mastered the exercise in less than 3 minutes. Morgan is very intelligent and a quick learner. If you can't tell, we are really excited about this young man. They say if you like a dog go to the father, because he is the one that produced the type.
