The July 7 event, to be held from 8:30am to 3:30pmat Woodbridge High
School at #2 Meadowbrook, Irvine,
will feature Nashville writer and performer Marc-Alan Barnette. Marc
is truly one of the best people you
could ever meet if you are serious about the music business.
He is one of the most knowledgeable,
big-hearted, talented, hysterically funny people you'll ever meet!
On top of all that he loves songwriters and
singers, and honestly wants to help us reach our goals!
Marc has been in Nashville for 11 years. He is very much an insider.
He knows everyone in that
town and they all know him. He knows what to do, and how to avoid
mistakes along the way. He's faced
real life doors opening and closing, but even closed doors never stopped
him from pursuing his dream.
Marc will focus on these topics: Building Relationships, Making
your Songs more Competitive ,Staying Focused , Being in
it for the Long Haul, Marc will also do critiques for the group.
One-on-one seesions with Marc will be available on
a first come, first served basis. There will be a concert from 6:00-8:00pm
featuring Marc, Joannah McKee,
and Ken Byrd at McClure’s,14401 Newport Avenue, Tustin, .

The Saturday, July 28event will feature Harriet Schock, writer of "Ain’t
No Way to Treat a Lady"
and author of "Becoming Remarkable"). The Saturday workshop will be
at the home of Liz Axford in
Del Mar ($10 from 1:00-5:00pm. Harriet will be going over the new set
of six songwriting exercises she
has created for the NSAI workshops on "Getting Pictures into Your Lyrics"
and will do song critiques.

The August 18 Seminar, featuring Songwriter and vocalist Tim Buppert,
will be held at Hallenbeck’s
General Store, 5510 N. Cahuenga Blvd. in North Hollywood. Tim wrote
the hit “She’s Sure Taking it
Well”. He is also one of the premiere demo singers in Nashville.
Cost is $35 for members, $45 for non-members if paid in advance, $50
at the door. To register, make

Following the seminar, there will be a concert featuring Tim and friends,
