As a publisher she has 8 ASCAP and BMI awarded songs including the 2002 ASCAP
song of the year recorded by Faith Hill. Kye, along
with Mark Cawley, has launched Song Journey Music, a
new publishing company with Simon Fuller, Chris Ogelsby
& Pete Evans of American Idol, 19 Music and Native management. This enables
them to not only work with writers online through Song Journey.com but also to sign writers directly though the site. They can offer
single song and exclusive writer contracts and.. are currently developing 2 new artists and looking for more.
Admission to the workshop is free to NSAI and WCSA members, #10 for
non-members. There will be a $5 charge for each song submitted in order to help
us pay for our guest's travel expenses. Members will receive priority
over non-members for submitting songs. If time allows, we will allow a
second submission for an additional $5. What to bring: Your song on CD
plus a typed lyric sheet. Make sure your name and contact information appears
on both your CD and lyric sheet. Fold the lyric sheet and attach to the
CD case with a rubber band.
