New Royalty rates for 1996.

As of Jan. 1, 1996, the the statutory rate for mechanical royalties in the US has been increased to 6.95 cents or 1.3 cents/minute. This is the royalty to be paid for each record manufactured and sold after Jan. 1, 1996, unless contractually agreed to otherwise by the copyright owner and the record company.
