LISA ADLER (Co-Director) is Co-Artistic Director of Horizon Theatre Company. She has directed numerous productions for Horizon since co-founding the theatre thirteen years ago with her husband and partner Jeff. Her most recent Horizon projects were The Screened-In Porch and last season's Ellen Foster and The Good Times Are Killing Me for the Cultural Olympiad. During the past few years she has directed Escape from Happiness, The Wild Guys, A...My Name is Still Alice, Prelude to a Kiss and The Heidi Chronicles. She was nominated in 1996 for an Arts and Business Council Abby Award for Outstanding Artist/Arts Professional. She occasionally guest directs at other theatres, such as the Gainesville Theatre Alliance and the Alliance Lunchtime Theatre, where she enjoys shedding her producer's role. Lisa holds a B.F.A. in Theatre from University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana where she also returned for post-graduate directing study.
JEFF ADLER (Co-Director) has directed numerous productions for
Horizon, from Bonjour, la, Bonjour (our very first production
in 1983) through this season's Racing Demon. Other Horizon favorites
include Voir Dire, Marvin's Room, The Film Society, Aunt Dan and
Lemon, Heathen Valley, The Secret Rapture, Full Moon and All in
the Timing. He has also directed at other theatres and colleges,
most recently LaGrange College. Jeff has been in charge of every
set built for Horizon productions, and he also leads the Horizon
Senior Ensemble, the acting and playwriting ensemble for senior
citizens here at Horizon.
