Artistic Staff For Racing Demon
Paul is happy to be returning to Horizon for his third season.
Last season his designs were seen in The Good Times Are Killing Me, Voir Dire,
Ellen Foster and A Cheever Evening. Paul recently joined the staff of the fabulous
Fox Theatre as Production Manager. Prior to joining the Fox, Paul was Director of the
Georgia Tech Center for the Arts for four years since its opening in 1992.
Paul's design credits include nine seasons as the Resident Lighting Designer
of the Atlanta Ballet and stints with the Academy Theatre, the Alabama Shakespeare Festival,
and the Alliance Theatre. Paul is a resident of Decatur with his wife Darce Beck and their
two children Hanna and Sam.
Joanna holds a BFA from the University of Georgia and an
MFA from Penn State University. In New York Joanna has constructed costumes for New York City
Shakespeare Festival and Parsons Mears Ltd. In Atlanta she is resident costume designer for
Horizon and 7 Stages, as well as resident costume coordinator for the Atlanta Opera.
Joanna has had the privilege of working with a number of outstanding artists including
Athol Fugard and Joseph Chaikin. Recent projects include Cultural Olympiad shows The
Good Times Are Killing Me at Horizon, Blue Monk at 7 Stages and In Stitches.
Dung has worked at theatres in Texas, Maryland, Maine, Wisconsin
and California over the last ten years. Locally he has designed for ART Station, Theatre in
the Square and five productions here with Horizon Theatre. He is a technician at the Alliance
Theatre Company. "Jung" holds a B.A. in Theatre Arts from the University of California,
Corinne is pleased to be joining Horizon Theatre for
the first time. Corinne is currently one of the production electricians for the Atlanta
where she just completed The Nutcracker at the Fox Theatre. After Racing Demon,
Corinne will be working on President Clinton's inauguration and the Atlanta Ballet's
Alice in Wonderland.
Paul has been working in the Atlanta theatre community
since 1994. He has had the opportunity to stage manage productions at Onstage Atlanta,
Actor's Express and the Stage Door Players. Paul would like to thank Lisa, Jeff and Shannon
for this great opportunity.
Derek, having been involved in some aspect of theatre since age 7,
is thrilled to be working at what makes him the most happy. Thanks to Michael Brewer for
being an inspiration both on and off the job. Hugs and kisses to my four favorites far, far
away--Buddy, Cameron, Leslie and Heath.
Km is in her fourth season as a Horizon staff member.
Previous technical credits include electrical and board operation for several Off-Broadway
productions and international work as a dresser for Shirley MacLaine's concert tour Out There
Tonight. She attended NYU and the London Strassburg Institute as an acting major, which led
to roles in over thirty productions. Kim is currently completing her degree at West Georgia
College and owns her own business teaching creative movement.
