Cleaning the Banjo bolt

Cleaning the "Banjo" fitting will help insure that
the ALDA is receiving the proper boost pressure.

On the 602 engine the fitting is located on the
driver's side of the intake manifold (see photo).

Pull the tube off the fitting.

Unscrew the fitting and clean out the inside.  You'll
probably find oil/sludge/tar blocking the opening.

If you follow the line from the intake manifold and find
a funny looking box on the firewall with vacuum tubes
and electrical wiring running into it.....clean this out as
well.  My car doesn't have this "switchover valve" but
this is also a big contributor to performance loss.

Assuming everything else is working properly the
ALDA should now receive more boost pressure
and dish out more fuel when you need it most.
Buckle-up, watch for kids and hold on to your hats.
