We have a class pet! It's a male Beta. He will need fish sitting on weekends. He can be carried home in a small plastic container with a lid. He can stay in this container all weekend as long as the lid is removed for air. He eats only four to five grains of beta fish food once a day.
If you would be willing to have a fish guest for a weekend, be sure you have returned your permission slip. If you have signed up, you will be contacted for a reservation.
Ashley kept Blue Star Bubbles during the winter holiday break. This is what she wrote:
Every day Bluestar Bubbles would be wandering around at the top of his cage. I would feed him then, he would go down to the bottom.
He didn't get anything for Christmas, but I don't think he minded. I don't think he even knows what Christmas is.
He stayed on my book shelf. It is next to my window. I think he liked it there, because the sun shined below his tank. He would watch the sun. At sunset he looked dizzy. Ashley
