33. Allen Hunter was born on 13 Jul 1819 in Montgomery County, Tennessee. He appeared on the census on 19 Sep 1850 in Montgomery County, Tennessee. ⁽¹⁷²⁾ He appeared on the census on 28 Jun 1860 in District #6, Cheatham County, Tennessee.⁽¹⁷³⁾ He appeared on the census on 15 Aug 1870 in P. O. Thomasville, District No. 6, Cheatham County, Tennessee.⁽¹⁷⁴⁾ He appeared on the census on 23 Jun 1880 in District #15, Cheatham County, Tennessee. ⁽¹⁷⁵⁾ He appeared on the census on 19 Jun 1900 in District #15, Cheatham County, Tennessee.⁽¹⁷⁶⁾ He died on 12 Sep 1906 in Montgomery County, Tennessee. He was buried in Hunter Cemetery, Montgomery County, Tennessee.

"Clarksville Leaf - Chronicle, 13 Sept. 1906 - " Hunter, Allen. A prominent citizen of Henrietta, died Wednesday at his home near that place, at an advanced age. Mr. Hunter had been invalid for 50 years and during that time was only able to go about on crutches. He was 87 years old and had lived in that section the greater part of his life. He was a good man and highly respected by all who knew him. He was taken ill one week before he died but his condition was not thought to be serious and Tuesday he rode horseback four miles.

He is survived by the following children; D.A. Hunter of Southside, J.A. Hunter of Henrietta, Mrs. W.A. Walton of Henrietta, Mrs. R.C. Gupton of Half Pone and Mrs. J.C. Tyner of Nashville. He was the oldest of five brothers, all of whom are advanced in years. They are Henry Hunter of Southside, aged 86, W.C. Hunter of Oak Plains, aged 81, T. W. Hunter of Cheap Hill, aged 75, and B.N. Hunter of Thomasville, aged 71. The funeral took place this afternoon with services at the grave by Rev. James Harper of Pleasant View and Mallory Circuit. Burial was in the family buring ground."

He was married to Martha Margaret Walker (daughter of Thomas Walker and Elizabeth Blount) on 12 Dec 1846 in Montgomery County, Tennessee.⁽¹⁷⁷⁾ Martha Margaret Walker died on 23 Mar 1848 in Montgomery County, Tennessee. Allen Hunter and Martha Margaret Walker had the following children:

He was married to Mary Jane Rudolph (daughter of Frederick Rudolph and Elizabeth) on 8 Nov 1848 in Montgomery County, Tennessee. ⁽¹⁷⁸⁾ Mary Jane Rudolph was born on 28 Aug 1825 in Tennessee. She died on 12 May 1890 in Cheatham County, Tennessee. She was buried in Hunter Cemetery, Montgomery County, Tennessee. Allen Hunter and Mary Jane Rudolph had the following children:
