5. Allen Hunter was born before 1764. He witnessed the will of James Sterling on 30 May 1785 in Richland County, South Carolina.(47) He recieved a plat for 150 acres on Deep Creek, Black River, Camden District on 3 Sep 1792 in Camden District, South Carolina. (48) He is mentioned as a "beloved friend" along with Dempsey Hunter in the will of William Faust. on 13 Jul 1796 in Richland County, South Carolina.(49) He appeared on the census in 1800 in Saxegotha Town, Lexington County, South Carolina. (50) He bought 300 acres on Half Pone Creek, from John Jennings, witnessed by Thomas Hunter on 9 Apr 1802 in Robertson County, Tennessee. (51) He appeared on the census in 1820 in Montgomery County, Tennessee. (52) He signed a will on 13 May 1820 in Montgomery County, Tennessee.(53) He died between 13 May 1820 and 28 Nov 1820 in Montgomery County, Tennessee. He had an estate probated on 28 Nov 1820 in Montgomery County, Tennessee. (54)

Ordered that Allen Hunter be appointed to oversee that part of the road formerly kept by John Teasley.

He was married to Elizabeth Faust (daughter of William Faust and Mary) before 1796. Elizabeth Faust inherited from her father 100 acres of land and a horse on 5 Jan 1797 in Richland County, South Carolina.(55) She was born 1774 to 1780.
