PIGGOTT, Ark. Judge L. Hunter, 78, Piggott's oldest attorney and native of Marion, Ill., died Tuesday. He began the practice of law here in 1891 and served Clay County as Judge from 1904 to 1908, and was president for many years of the old Bank of Piggott, resigning in 1928. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Nora Wells Hunter, and one son, Carl.

He was married to Nora Carrell Wells in 1896. Nora Carrell Wells was born in Sep 1873 in Illinois. Lafayette Hunter and Nora Carrell Wells had the following children:
