She was married to Samuel Abner Austin (son of Charles Van Buren Austin and Sarah E. Brown) on 10 Feb 1925 in Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas. Samuel Abner Austin was born on 4 Oct 1889 in Charlotte, Tennessee. He appeared on the census on 16 Apr 1930 in Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas. ⁽¹⁶²⁸⁾ He died on 17 Oct 1970 in Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas. ⁽²⁴⁸⁾ He was buried in Rose Hill Cemetery, Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas.
Lived at 3300 Fitzhugh, Fort Worth, in 1937, and 2424 Strong in 1970.

RETIRED THEATRE EMPLOYEE, 81, DIES

Samuel A. Austin, 81 a charter member of the Motion Picture Machine Operators Local 330, died Saturday at his home.

Austin, a native of Charlotte, Tenn., moved to Fort Worth in 1900. He resided at 3424 Strong.

HE STARTED in the entertainment business as a boy carpenter, later moving up to projectionist. He had held every possible office in Local 330 and was honored by the organization in 1964 for 50 years of service.

He worked at such early day theatres here as the Lyric, Blue Mouse, Over the Top and Pershing. He didn't retire until 1968, when failing health forced him to end 54 years of service in the entertainment field.

HE WAS A member of Englewood Methodist Church, Tarrant Masonic Lodge and Mosiah Shrine Temple.

Survivors include his wife; a son, W. C. Austin, and a daughter, Mrs. Charles E. Carruthers, all of Fort Worth, and three grandsons.

Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. tomorrow at Owens & Brumley Chapel. Burial will be at Rose Hill.
