W.C. Austin, 76, an artist, retired movie projectionist, formerly owner/manager of the Heights Theater, died Friday, July 19, 2002, in Fort Worth.

Graveside service: 10 a.m. Monday in Greenwood Memorial Park.

W.C. Austin was born Dec. 6, 1925, in Fort Worth. He was a member of Ridglea United Methodist Church.

Survivors: Wife, Martha Austin; sons, Sam Austin and wife, Julie, Terry W. Austin and wife, Julie Ann, and Larry Austin; granddaughter, Brenna Nicole Austin; and sister, Lewellyn Carruthers.
