HUNTER, Walter Boyd, 85, of Temple Terrace, Fla., was called home Novem-ber 28, 2010. He

served with the U.S. Army during World War II. "Dr. Walt" received his dental degree from University of Southern California and practiced for almost 40 years in Van Nuys, Calif. He was very active in civic and professional organizations and served as an elder for over 30 years. Our "Pop" was selflessly dedicated to serving God, family and others. His kindness and generosity will be missed by all. Walter is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Louise Hunter; son, Brent Hunter (Gail); daughters, Tina Mowrer (Frank), Becky Copeland (Wilson) and Crystal Hunter; two sisters and a brother; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandsons. 6-9 p.m. Thursday at the Florida College Academy, 7032 Temple Terrace Highway, Temple Terrace. Private burial will take place at Florida National Cemetery with military honors. A celebration of life service is scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday at University Church of Christ.
