2134. Loyd Ellsworth Bell Jr. was born on 29 Aug 1926 in Merkel, Taylor County, Texas. He died on 30 Sep 1992 in San Angelo, Tom Green County, Texas. ⁽²⁴⁸⁾ He was buried in Resthaven Memorial Park, Midland, Texas.

They lived at Portland, Oregon in 1958 and Midland, Texas, from 1970. Mr. Bell was a truck driver for Fort Worth Pipe and the McClatchy Brothers annd a salesman for Resthaven Memorial Park. He drove a school bus for four years before retiring inn 1989. A Navy veteran, he was a member of the VFW and the Eagles.

Loyd Bell, Jr.

MIDLAND -- Loyd E. Bell, Jr., 66, of San Angelo, died Wednesday, Sept. 30, 1992, in San Angelo.

Graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Resthaven Memorial Park, directed by Ellis Funeral Home.

He was born Aug. 29, 1926, in Merkel and had lived in Midland since 1970. He was a truck driver for Fort Worth Pipe and McClatchy Brothers and a salesman for Resthaven Memorial Park. He drove a school bus for four years before retiring in 1989. A navy veteran, he was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Eagles.

Survivors include his wife, Nora Helen Bell of Midland; six sons, Robert Loyd Bell, Richard Eugene Bell, Charles Thomas Bell and Doyle Edwin Bell, all of Midland, and Donald Lynn Bell and Ronald Glenn Bell, both of San Angelo; three daughters, Norma Jean Burt of Knoxville, Tenn., Lestera Jane Beale and Patricia Parks, both of Midland; five brothers, Vernon Bell of Mesa, Ariz., Joe Earl Bell of Roswell, N. M., and Larry Bell, Elmo Bell and Ronny Bell, all of Wasilla, Ark.; three sisters, Lila Ruth Felt of Angleton, Dorinda West of Bristol, Va., and Mary Clota McAlister of Portland, Mine; 21 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He was married to Nora Helen Deel (daughter of Albert S. J. Deel and Moody Irene Cordill) on 21 Nov 1953 in Midland, Midland County, Texas. Nora Helen Deel was born on 11 Nov 1933 in Ira, Scurry County, Texas.⁽⁶⁴³⁾ She died on 11 Sep 1994 in Midland, Midland County, Texas. ⁽²⁴⁸⁾ She was buried in Resthaven Memorial Park, Midland, Texas.

NORA BELL

Services for Nora Helen Bell, 60, of Midland are pending at Midland Funeral Home.

Mrs. Bell died Sunday at a local hospital. Loyd Ellsworth Bell Jr. and Nora Helen Deel had the following children:
