Sophia White

MARION -- Sophia White, age 91 of Wheat Ridge, Colo., formerly of Marion, passed away at 8 a.m., Feb. 17, 2003 at Vista Village in Denver, Col.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 22, 2003 at the Blue Funeral Home in Marion with Pastor Michael Kumm officiating.

Visitation will be from 12 until 2 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 22, 2003 at the funeral home.

Burial will be at Barham Cemetery in Marion.

Mrs. White was born June 11, 1911 in Stahl, Russia to Gottlieb and Katharina Kraus. She married Cecil Robert White May 15, 1932 in Bellwood. He preceded her in death Dec. 24, 1998.

Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Robert Cecil and Irene White of San Diego, Calif.; daughter and son-in-law, Sandra and Michael Wilson of Golden, Colo.; grandchildren, David Wilson of Denver, Colo., Phillip Wilson and Douglas White, both of Seattle, Wash. and Carol Horsley of San Diego, Calif.; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews, including Sue and Harold Fitts and Kenny and Betty Pankey, all of Marion.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two brothers and one sister.

Mrs. White was a member of the St. Paul's Lutheran Church in West Frankfort, Illinois. She was a homemaker and mother
