MARION -- Dollie Hunter, age 84, died Thursday July 24, 2003, at 2:42 p.m. at her family home.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Sunday July 27, 2003, at the Murman & Wilson Funeral Home in Johnston City, with Rev. Larry Stevens officiating.

Burial will be in the Becker Cemetery in Johnston City.

Visitation will be after 5 p.m. Saturday July 26, 2003, at the funeral home.

In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois. Envelopes available at the funeral home.

Dollie was born June 30, 1919 in Williamson County, the daughter of Clarence and Mylinda "May" (Comer) Rogers. She married Warner "Slim" Hunter Sept.3, 1936. He preceded her in death Dec.21, 1986.

Dollie was a homemaker, and a member of the Liberty #6 Freewill Baptist Church.

She is survived by three daughters, Dorothy Frye and husband, Bob, of Johnston City, Patricia Milligan and husband, Larry, of Johnston City, and Nancy Edds and husband Ted of Marion; two grandchildren, Lisa Nicholson and husband, James, of Marion, and Todd Dunning and wife, Robin, of Marion; one great-grandchild, Lezlie Nicholson; a brother-in-law, James Warden Hunter of Herrin; a sister-in-law, Marjorie Hunter of Johnston City; several nieces and nephews and many wonderful and caring neighbors.

She was preceded in death by her parents; five brothers, Hughy, Ed, Louie, Charlie, and Garland Rogers; one sister; Lottie Mae Rogers and one grandson, Michael Fyre.
