Age 83 of Ashland City, TN, passed away on Thursday, January 12, 2006. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alonzo Smith and Minnie Dowdy Smith; her husband, Buford Ray Hunter. She is survived by her sons, Murray W. (Ruth) Hunter of Ashland City, TN, Billy Ray (Peggy) Hunter of Ashland City, TN, David A. (Phyliss) Hunter of Pleasantview, TN; a daughter, Sue (Bobby) Shivers of Ashland City, TN; sisters, Ruby Bateman of Fairview, TN, Billie Miles of Adams, TN, Mildred (Pete) Justice of Ashland City, TN; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m., from Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home, with Bro. Paul Robert Gupton officiating. Burial will follow in the Smith-Neptune Cemetery, Ashland City, TN. Family & friends will serve as Pallbearers. She was of Baptist Faith and a member of the Bethel Free Will Baptist Church.
