HUNTER

Services for Oscar Henry Hunter, 86, of 316 E. Wright will be held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at Paul U. Lee Chapel with Dr. Robert B. Moore officiating.

Hunter, a native of Lott, died Tuesday in a Baytown hospital.

A retired process worker at Exxon's Baytown refinery, he was a member of Grace United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Blanche Hunter of Baytown; two sons, Oscar Hunter of Galena Park and Sanders Hunter of Houston; and two daughters, Mrs. J. D. Voss of Edmonton, Canada, and Mrs. A. G. Lestarjette of Baytown.

Sixteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren survive.

Burial will be in Memory Gardens.

Pallbearers will be grandsons.

Arrangements are under direction of Paul U. Lee Funeral Home.

He was married to Blanche Irene Sanders (daughter of Andrew Newell Sanders and Amelia Trainer) on 31 Dec 1919 in Bexar County, Texas. Blanche Irene Sanders was born on 3 Feb 1899 in LaVernia, Texas. She died on 6 Jan 1986 in Baytown, Harris County, Texas.(1608) She was buried in Memory Gardens Cemetery, Baytown, Texas.

BLANCHE HUNTER

Services for Blanche Irene Hunter, 86, of Baytown will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Navarre's Paul U. Lee Funeral Home with the Rev. Harold Fagan officiating.

Mrs. Hunter died Monday at a Baytown hospital.

A native of LaVernia, she was a 50-year resident of Baytown. Mrs. Hunter was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, the Nannie Dickson Sunday School Class and The Methodist Women United Rachel Circle. She was a life member of the La Vernia Chapter No. 436 Order of Easter Star and The Goose Creek Rebekah Lodge No. 453. She served as a Navy Mother during World War II and earned a certificate for 500 hours as a volunteer at Veterans Hospital in Houston.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar H. Hunter.

Survivors include two sons, Oscar Hunter of Galena Park and Sanders Hunter of Houston; two daughters, Doris Voss of Alberta, Canada, and Jean Lestarjette of Baytown; 12 grandsons, Ty, David, Joe Glenn, Mike, Pat, Gill and Joe Sanders Hunter, all of Houston, Kevin Hunter of Midland, Mark and Douglas Voss, both of Alberta, Canada, Larry Lestarjette of Baytown and Steve Lestarjette of Deer Park; four granddaughters, Leslie Ann Kiesel of Corpus Christi, Amy Lea Plunkett of Houston, and Marsha Burns and Melissa Lestarjette, both of Baytown; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

Burial will be at Memory Gardens.

Arrangements are under direction of Navarre's Paul U. Lee Funeral Home.
