From the Nashville Christian Advocate, August 21, 1846:

MATTHEW R. HUNTER died Clarksville, Tenn., July 26, 1846 in 4th year of his age.


He was married to Martha Eaton (daughter of Robert Eaton and Elizabeth Topp) on 9 Mar 1826 in Davidson County, Tennessee. (144) Martha Eaton was born about 1806. She died before 1836. Matthew Ryburn Hunter and Martha Eaton had the following children:

He was married to Elizabeth W. Moody (daughter of James W. Moody and Rebecca Wilson) on 9 Mar 1836 in Davidson County, Tennessee. Elizabeth W. Moody was born on 13 Nov 1814. She died on 21 Oct 1849 in Robertson County, Tennessee. She was buried in Cage Cemetery, Montgomery County, Tennessee.

ELIZABETH HUNTER daughter of James and Rebecca Moody; wife of Matthew Hunter; died Robertson Co., Tenn., Oct. 21, 1849 in the 36th year of her age.
