From Route17: At Mahwah, NJ take Route 202 south (approx 1.8 miles) to Ramapo Mountain County Reservation entrance on right side of road.
From I-287 Exit 58 in Oakland, NJ: Take Route 202 north about 4.8 miles to Rampo Mountain County Park on left. No left turns allowed here! So continue north about 1 block and make U-turn and come back to parking lot entrance.

Strenuous. We shall see the Myles trail, Stalter Spring, Howell Cave, Escalator, Bockberg Trail, and more. Steady rain cancels.

Jones Point Parking Lot on Route 9W, Jones Point, NY

From Palisades Interstate Parkway north: Take the Palisades Interstate Parkway to its end at the Bear Mountain Bridge Circle and Route 9W. Go south (right) on Route 9W for about 4 miles to the parking area along southbound (right) side of Route 9W, opposite old road to Jones Point.
From Route 9W north: continue approximately 9.5 miles past intersection with Route 303. The parking area is along southbound (left) side of Route 9W, opposite old road to Jones Point.

NYC Holiday Lights

Moderate. Enjoy the lights of New York City for the holidays. Spouses and guests welcome. Bring food for supper, as we will eat at the enclosed Trump Tower atrium. Call before 9 pm Friday December 14 to register and for meeting time and directions. Poor road conditions cancel. Mid afternoon departure and late return.

Holiday Hike Part 2 – Ho, Ho, Ho, Merry Christmas

Moderate. Join us on this hike as we celebrate Holiday season. All levels and beginners welcome. Holiday enjoyment pace, no runners please! Leader will bring cookies, and hopes others will bring treats to share. Conditions may require crampons or snowshoes. Rain or inclement weather may cancel event. For inclement weather, call after 7:00 AM morning of the hike if in doubt. Leader reserves the right to turn away hikers without proper winter gear/clothing. Joint with AMC.

Hanks Pond to Buckabear Pond

Moderately strenuous. Enjoy this lovely 8-mile linear hike through the Pequannock watershed. Seldom done and not to be missed. Shuttle Required.
