Subject: The Saga of a Steel Magnolia Moving To Texas.
Hi All,
I'm in hair ball heaven! My kitty babies arrived last weekend and I'm
up to my neck in furballs. I couldn't be happier. Well, except if maybe
my Teddy Bear was here. Then I would be really happy. But, until that happens,
I'll hug my kitties and wait for Tbear to arrive.
I drove back to Georgia last weekend and got the first load from my
home there, and the kitty babies. Miss Katherine drove my Bronco with the
kitties in their carriers and I drove the 24 foot van with Miss Elizabeth.
When this is over, I'm never driving anything bigger than my Bronco ever
again. I think I'm getting too old for this nonsense. Still, all in all,
I am happy with our decision to relocate to Texas. Now, all we have to
do is get everyone in the same state. :-)))
Not much is going on right now except for shoving boxes around and
trying to catch up on the rest. It has been hot, but not as hot as it was
last month and several thunder storms rolled through. Lots of noise, I
loved it, but little rain hitting the ground.
Have you seen the new cable version of Zane Greys 'Riders of The Purple
Sage'? It's a wonderful rendition of the book. But, best of all, the scenery
is spectacular. It was filmed in red rock country with the towering bluffs
and desert vistas..... I'm hooked well and truly. Not even a whimper. Try
to see it if it comes on again. Wow. With a satellite uplink what else
would I need? Chocolate, of course. :-))) And Tbear! The kids can find
their own cave. :-)))
Light a candle for me for next weekend. Miss Katherine flew back yesterday,
and I fly out next weekend. Miss Elizabeth is holding down the fort for
me while I'm on the road. It will be another long hot miserable 2 day drive.
MOMMA! Ya didn't tell me about this!!!! HELP!!!!! Actually, those little
cars don't argue too much with a moving van. (evil, delightedly wicked
grin)
Take care and write when you can.
